DENHOLME SHARED CHURCH  (Baptist, Church of England, United Reformed) Three traditions – One faith

Denholme Edge Church was formed in October 1988 when a constitution was signed between the Denholme United Reformed Church and Denholme Baptist Church. The sale of the Baptist building and site brought much needed funding and we were able to refurbish the URC building by removing pews to create a multi-purpose area. We also added an extension to form a separate meeting room, and installed new toilets and kitchen facilities. The Local Ecumenical Partnership was extended in 2012 to include the former St. Paul’s Church, (CofE) and we are currently setting up a Sharing Agreement.  The new partnership brought yet another change of name and we are now known as Denholme Shared Church. Throughout the year various social activities are organised. a parent and toddler group meet on the church premises every Friday 1.00-3.00pm (term time), and we have a monthly Toddler Praise service.   Please visit our website for more details of all our services and events www.denholmechurch.org.uk   We have the only original church building left in the village and are continually called upon for funerals, baptisms and other community events. Our mission strategy is: to bring the people of Denholme to Christ to establish the values of God’s kingdom in our village and beyond to grow a loving and caring church in the community A vision that has the people at the centre and evangelism at its heart.
