Coinciding with the COP26 World Leaders’ Conference, the church fellowship at Westfield Wyke have been challenged to look afresh at God’s creation. Kath Lonsdale, Church Secretary explains further:

“During September and October, we have discussed with the fellowship how we can play our part in caring for God’s creation and praying for those who will make decisions about climate change at COP26 conference.  Our young people and the Craft and Chat group decorated the outside railings and church with green hearts including bible texts to challenge us in our Christian witness to one-another and to share with our neighbours passing by, some now coming into our community coffee mornings.  We included the Caring for Creation theme in our café style harvest as well as supporting our local foodbank and Commitment for Life.”
