On Saturday 18th June, it was Otley Carnival Day and after a two year absence (as a result of the pandemic) the Bridge Church, Otley’s famous ‘Teas on the Lawn’ were back with a bang!

Church members served refreshments and light lunches for those gathering to watch the carnival parade – which passes right outside the church. A wonderful day was had by all and over £1000 was raised for the church’s charity for the year – the Christian Aid Coronovirus Appeal.

The pictures show part of the team erecting, for the first time, the new marquee (which was purchased following a grant from the Yorkshire Synod) and the crowds gathering about half an hour before the parade passed the church.
