It was quite an aural surprise on the morning of Wednesday 18th January for the Moderator and Clerk of Yorkshire Synod to be greeted at Saltaire by the sound of their bells.

Happily the campanological treat was not as a result of their visit to the recently restored church building but a visiting group of bell-ringers giving the Saltaire peal a thorough test after three years of silence.

As the church recovers after the long repair process due to the 2020 collapsed ceiling, the bell-ringers are planning to herald Sunday worship at Saltaire as well as being available for special occasions, such as weddings.
