Members of Westfield URC, along with Churches Together in Wyke had a great weekend of celebrating the Good News of Easter, reaching out into their community.
Firstly, Churches Together joined in for a Good Friday walk of witness and outside service. They also organised an Easter Egg Trail where decorated eggs had been hidden around the grounds of the different churches. Each egg contained fun facts and an Easter message to discover.
Also this weekend, Imogen, a young member of Westfield URC, has been giving out Bibles. 50 had been purchased with a Discipleship Development grant, to give to those exploring faith at each of the churches, over the Easter period. Imogen gave out 10 to Westfield’s coffee morning, craft and chat and 10 for members to give to their grandchildren. The photo shows Imogen giving 10 Bibles to the Moravian and Anglican church members. The remaining 10 were given to the Wyke Christian Community Church.
