Youth FORUM

Xscape Yorkshire Colorado Way, Castleford, United Kingdom

The Youth FORUM continues on it's journey to become a safe and open space where young people can gather from across the Yorkshire Synod to be together and to talk with each other about their faith. This time we will spend some time thinking about our well-being and the role that the church and it's leaders have in nurturing positive mental health for children and young people. It is set to be an exciting and meaningful day together. We will share lunch (provided by the synod) and then head over to the trampoline park for an hour of fun before the day finishes. Everyone who feels they are able to engage in the day appropriately are welcome. To book please complete this form. For more information please contact Megan Tillbrook: 07522 220213 / megancyp@urcyorkshire.org.uk To read about what has happened at previous Youth FORUM gatherings click here and here.

Advent Retreat

The Autumn half term is a busy time for anyone who works with children and young people in our Yorkshire churches. We have had our BIG Day Out, followed by our Youth Residential and then we met for Youth Forum. Now the half term is over and there are only a few weeks before Advent and Christmas events and activities begin... On Thursday 01 December there will be an opportunity to take a short amount of time out of the hustle and bustle. Join with other children and youth ministers from across the Yorkshire synod to pray together, to talk to one another, to walk alongside each other, and to share lunch together. We will be reflecting on the meaning of Advent and we will also be intentional in building meaningful, supportive relationships on our mutual journey's of bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to each child and young person we meet. Please contact Megan Tillbrook to secure your place: megancyp@urcyorkshire.org.uk / 07522220213

Young Adults Coffee Morning

TBC

It all started just before lockdown in 2020. A group of young adults from across the Yorkshire Synod met in Huddersfield to drink coffee (or tea, or hot chocolate), to build friendships and to read the Bible together. Throughout lockdown, we met for a time using zoom and once we felt it safe to do so we began to meet again each month in a different town or city across Yorkshire to share fellowship together again. Below are the up and coming dates for ‘Coffee Mornings Together’: Saturday 18 June, York Saturday 30 July, Sheffield Saturday 10 September, Bradford Saturday 08 October, Synod Venue TBC Saturday 05 November, Huddersfield Saturday 10 December, York If you consider yourself to be a ‘young adult’ (minimum age 17 years) and you are searching for a place to meet others, build friendship and to talk about faith, please do come along and join us. Venues decided closer to the date. Please contact Megan Tillbrook 07522 220213. We are also running a weekend retreat for Young Adults. Click here for more information.
