On Sunday 29th September The Halifax Group of Churches said farewell to their Minister, Revd Heather Pollard, who was taking her last service before retirement. The service was held at Heath URC along with members of New Providence URC and then New Hope URC joined in for the presentations and buffet lunch.
Mrs Jane Simmons, Church Secretary at Heath URC, reflected: “Heather’s sermon was poignant for all our churches as we move forwards, to consider who we are as a church. We thank Heather and Martin (Heather’s husband) for their 6 years of service with us and wish them many blessings in their retirement. The lunch gathering was a lovely occasion and Heather and Martin seemed to really appreciate it.”
Synod would also like to thank Heather for her ministry during her time in Yorkshire and wish her and Martin a very happy and blessed retirement.
