Fifteen or so scarecrows have taken up residence on the Bridge Church (Otley) lawn – all made by members and friends of the church.
‘They certainly seem to have caught the imagination of young and old alike, and streams of people have been coming into the church grounds for a closer look. They are also the subject of much comment on local social media sites’, said John Eveleigh, Church Secretary.
This is the second year that the church has staged a scarecrow display and Rev Jason McCullagh, Minister of the Bridge Church said ‘we found last year that people came time and time again and it gave us a good opportunity to listen and talk with people!’
Weather permitting; the scarecrows will be in place until the end of the school holidays so do take a look if you are in the area.
