We delighted to welcome Rev Barry Welch to the Yorkshire Synod. Barry has moved from the West Midlands, and was inducted to his new ministry as a member of the Sheffield Team Ministry on Saturday 28th August. He joins colleagues Rev Simon Copley and Rev Zaidie Orr, ministering to 9 URCs and 5 LEPs across the city of Sheffield and beyond.
The service took place at Central URC in Sheffield. It was led by the Moderator, Rev Jamie Kissack and the sermon was preached by Rev James Hamilton, a colleague minister from the West Midlands. Barry was welcomed by members from all the churches as well as by ecumenical colleagues. He was also supported by members of his previous church in Sedgley who traveled up to wish him well.
