The Synod’s Green Apostle Group met last week and their conversations included the recent COP 30 climate crisis gathering. Here is their prayer:
Creative, living God, we pray for hope and courage in the face of the climate crisis.
May we move away from apathy and indifference towards recognising the interdependence of all that is living.
Over the past 10 days leaders across the world have met at COP30.
We pray that they have made decisions that are wise and compassionate.
Empower each and every one of us, through our words and actions, to help repair the harm and damage we have caused across our beautiful planet.
