Join our monthly conversation exploring different aspects of mission. Join us if you have a passion, if you have questions, if you are just curious, or if you don't really think it is for you! This month, join us to think about what good news we really are offering people? Does it always feel like good news? What is the 'Good News'? We will spend an hour together, talking, thinking and praying about mission. And over the coming months we will discover more of where God might be leading us, as individuals, churches, and as a synod. Don’t worry if you can’t make it each month, each time is a one-off. Youth Residential for Young People

Peak Venture Huddersfield Road, Sheffield, United Kingdom

This event is the synod's annual youth residential for young people aged 11 - 16 years and this year we will be gathering at Peak Venture (a Kingswood centre in Sheffield) from Friday 30 September - Sunday 2nd October. At Peak Venture we will be pushing our limits and having a go at some exciting outdoor activities, filling our bellies full of delicious food (and tuck) and we will even be doing some evening activities. Alongside this there will be opportunities to get to know young people from across the synod, build friendships, pray and share together. JPIT Conference 2022: From the Ground Up

From the Ground Up: Unearthing hope and seeking justice What does social justice look like where you are? Reconnect with fellow changemakers and be re-energised to work and pray for peace and justice at JPIT’s 2022 Conference. You’re invited to join us online or in London, as we gather for a day of keynote speakers, interactive workshops and learning new ways to campaign. Together we will explore how we can listen to our communities and amplify local voices in order to bring about change. Tickets are free for under 25s or those on low income. Young Adults Coffee Morning

It all started just before lockdown in 2020. A group of young adults from across the Yorkshire Synod met in Huddersfield to drink coffee (or tea, or hot chocolate), to build friendships and to read the Bible together. Throughout lockdown, we met for a time using zoom and once we felt it safe to do so we began to meet again each month in a different town or city across Yorkshire to share fellowship together again. Below are the up and coming dates for ‘Coffee Mornings Together’: Saturday 18 June, York Saturday 30 July, Sheffield Saturday 10 September, Bradford Saturday 08 October, Synod Venue TBC Saturday 05 November, Huddersfield Saturday 10 December, York If you consider yourself to be a ‘young adult’ (minimum age 17 years) and you are searching for a place to meet others, build friendship and to talk about faith, please do come along and join us. Young Adults Weekend Retreat

The Peak Centre Edale, Hope Valley, United Kingdom

We are so excited to be able to invite you to our retreat weekend for young adults! If you are aged 17 - 25 years then you are invited to join us at The Peak Centre in Edale for a time of  being together and being with God. We know how important it is to take time out for ourselves; to get away from our day to day responsibilities and pressures to renew our bodies and our hearts, and to return home feeling energised and rested. There will be opportunities over the weekend to engage in Bible study, prayer, discussions and other activities however this really is a weekend for YOU to rest in the presence of God and to retreat in the way that works for you. This free one-day workshop is about how, in all our conversations - in church, at work or with family, friends or neighbours - we can ensure all parties know they’ve been heard. Come and join us if you want to make your conversations more effective and enjoyable  or you just want to be re-energised and resourced!
